![]() ![]() I'm very thankful for your effort to help me, but it seems this world just doesn't want me to play Sunset Overdrive. Then I tried doing nothing while the intro sequence of BlindSquirrel was playing 'til it threw me into the main menu and then started a new game, to see if any button mashing I did during that sequence was responsible for the crashing, but even then it just crashed to desktop. maybe this would work for you too? Ok so my NVIDIA graphics driver already was updated to the latest version, graphics and resolution options were on the lowest settings and I deinstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++.įor a brief moment it seemed to load longer on the white screen after starting a new game but then it just crashed to desktop again. My issue was that the game wouldn't load at all but only show a black screen and then crash out. My only other suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables. If the game loads fine but crashes when you try to start a new game then logically the issue is likely to be due directly to something happening when you start a new game. I'm not sure about Phenom CPUs but I don't think that would be the issue. ![]() "Run as administrator" usually fixes that issue. Also if you haven't done so make sure you update your NVIDIA graphics driver. I assume you've tried fullscreen and window modes and tried setting all the graphics and resolution options to the lowest values? If it works from there, you can up the graphics and resolution bit by bit to see if there is a point where it crashes again.
